Quilt As Art

Paradiso began with a class I took on the Mariners Compass pattern. That became the center of this quilt. Hand appliquéd, Broderie Perse leaves and flowers ring the Compass. The old German art of paper cut patterns were added; most from books by Elly Seinkiewicz, two I designed myself. 2nd Place in the American Quilt Society “Quilters Choice Award” 2009.
