Quilt As Art

I made this quilt in a wonderful class taught by Lola Jenkins. This was a portrait workshop, and I find it funny that although this same pattern was used by at least six students in class, each face turned out differently. By the time I decided to use the feather earring, the African print background, and the floral and 3-dimensional flowers in the border, the name of the quilt just came to me.
