Quilt As Art

This quilt was made in a workshop by Jane Sassamen. We were told to find some form of flora that we would re-create in a quilt. It didn’t have to be a true representation. Well, I was late getting ready for class, so I ran out to the corner, which is Farris Road, and picked a tiny weed that looked kind of unusual. It was the only flowering thing I could find. My quilt looks nothing like the real thing, but I think that was the point, and I was happy with the way it turned out.
