Black Butterfly

This quilt was created after seeing a black butterfly appear in my garden on three consecutive days. To me, it was a sign that my mother, recently deceased, had returned to give me the precious knowledge that she would always be with me. I wanted the butterfly to be larger-than-life and the garden to have a heavenly, mythical quality.
